Goddesses Share Their Secrets…

What is success to you?
I don’t know because it’s something that seems to oscillate, feeling it and not feeling it. But, maybe a feeling of the fullness of an energy and/or the ability of an energy to be effective.

What is magic for you?
Raw creative power.

I just listened to the Equinox radio show of Caroline Casey’s ‘Visionary Activist’ show on KPFA radio, where she interviewed Starhawk. Now those would be some ladies to ask about magic. I also found myself linking to a recent article about language and sound, am important part of invoking and sealing magic. and found the authors mention of synesthesia being the ability that humans have for associating stimuli across different modalities. Changes in consciousness that are translated through the feel of a leaf or a stone or a star into sound – into language – that’s gotta be magic right!

What is love for you?
Energy that works together. which i guess would make energy that doesn’t work together unconditional love. hmmm, this is a big one. It’s a higher plane, an energy consciousness that we all know and feel, something that encompasses nourishment, sustenance, habitat, knowledge, freedom, beauty.

What is your beauty/health practices?
Regular sauna, daily moisturizing, rest and healthy eating, washing hands with soap and water, eco friendly/handmade beauty products

What makes your spirit glow?
Full belly laughs with my 2 year old, staying dedicated to curiosity

How do you stay centered in the middle of chaos?
Breathing…always back to the breath

What causes organizations are you passionate about?
I am passionate about the political revolution sparked by Bernie Sanders, passionate about Indigenous rights, passionate about sharing love for wild food plants. The photo attached is of my arrest standing with Hawaiians in opposition to telescope construction atop Mauna a Waukea and Haleakala. My dad was a physics and calculus teacher who taught me how to use a telescope from the time I was in the second grade. I am a science and astronomy lover, but the US Military use of the tops of these sacred mountains along with private industry in the building of massive telescopes the size of football stadiums while old decommissioned telescopes clutter up the peaks and are not cleaned up…this interrupts Hawaiian relationships with the land, and ultimately all of our relationship with the land. I am very passionate about connection, with fellow humans/flora/fauna, that is sacred.

If you could say one thing to the world what would you say?
Eat one wild food every day

What has been the greatest lesson as a mother you’ve learned?
Patience

What advice would you give a new mother?
Stop worrying so much. Let go.
